Purchasing or Selling a luxury property isn't an easy task. Not because of the high budget involved. But for the special and unique nature if the buyer itself.

For most realtors the million-property buyer is seen exclusively as an opportunity to gain a high commission. Which isn't something to blame by default. But the one-million question is "are they really doing something more than just refreshing or searching their listings?"

Luxury Property Buyer or Sellers aren't by default ordinary people. And although this seems as the commonest truth in the universe, I am always surprised on how average services these people are getting from many so-called luxury realtors.

After many years on the luxury landscape the only thing I know for sure is that Luxury Real Estate isn't for all. A lot might try, but very few will succeed.

Handling a distinguished client is a stand alone high demanding service, of which there isn't any printed manual or seminar to attend.


Luxury Buyers or Sellers are most of the times businessmen, anchormen, athletes, celebrities, ship owners, industry owners, spokespersons, eminent figures among their professional or societal communities.

To get to know their needs and their aspirations, their way of seeing things is a task that isn't a task at all; it's an art, an either you have it or not ability.

Money always attracts people, wannabe professionals or amateurs disclosed under a professional ambience. The same applies to the Luxury Real Estate Market. 

So, finding the correct Luxury Realtor becomes also an art. Sometimes a sheer luck too. Discretion and integrity become also the top priority. Then comes the difficult part. All the nuances and the subtleties of selling or buying a luxury property. Literally, a ton of things and aspects to valuate, to pay attention, finally to do.

Luxury Realtors, at least the correct ones, aren't "realtors" at all. They are more asset managers, property consultants, media negotiators and communication connoisseurs than just brokers or intermediates. At least they should be. At least, these are the ones to be sought.
